The Clock started ticking back in 2016,
a bromance formed over beer by the bookends of two families.
A mutual agreement that life is too short to be drinking boring beer brought us to where we are today.
The Ticking Clock Brew Co stands for unnervingly bold beer, flavours and experiments with fermentation.

TIME PASSES SLOWLY
October 2016
One of those occasions that seemed to last forever but you still didn’t want it to end. As the wedding weekend was ending, a bromance was being formed over beer by the bookends of two families.

March 2019
Another wedding, this time Ben’s, saw us dancing around the room to Common People for the second dance. An earlier trip to Prague had set our imaginations on fire with bold, flavours, sours and stouts. “We should do this one day”
THE WAITING IS THE HARDEST PART
March 2021
After a slight delay, the clock starts to tick faster. The business is registered and manufacture of the brewing mechanisms began. These things take time, and whilst time is not on your side, you can make it.
THREE, TWO, ONE, LETS BEGIN!
March 2022
Our annual check in sees us having built the bones of the Big Ben Brewkit, with a 400L output being tested into our out pocketwatch sized fermenters. The remainder of the year sees experiments and product development around hectic lives.
READY TO START
March 2023
As ever we spring into action as winter fades. Two out of three HMRC approvals are granted, with a few more hoops to jump through in the coming months. Whilst it is an uncertain time for many in hospitality, our desire to provide great flavoursome beer is not slowing.
THE TEAM
Meet Ben, The Clock’s Beer Engineer. Software developer by day, Brewer and Doer by night. His superpower is keeping things ticking over, from his old Land Rovers to our brew system which he built by hand in his workshop.
Meet Jamie, The Clock’s Hoptimist Marketer. Shaking hands and building brands, the voice and face of Ticking Clock. He spends his days gaining sponsorship for all things nature and rewilding but his favorite flowering plant is the hop.
